Lost Inner Child Test

Before You Start Inner Child Healing Do This Test

The concept of the "Lost Inner Child" delves into the psychological realm, representing the facet of our psyche embodying childlike innocence and playfulness. This aspect often becomes suppressed or obscured as we mature, adapting to societal norms and expectations. Conforming to these standards leads us to conceal vulnerabilities, stifle our natural curiosity, and suppress emotions, causing our inner child to withdraw into the shadows.

Reconnecting with our lost inner child unfolds as a journey marked by self-discovery and healing. This process allows us to reclaim the capacity for wonder, joy, and creativity that may have been obscured. It also facilitates a heightened awareness of our emotions and needs, fostering healthier relationships and a more fulfilling life. Encouraging the embrace of our authentic selves, strengths, and weaknesses alike, it propels us towards a life lived more fully and freely.

In the subsequent sections, you will find the assessment tailored to identify signs of a lost inner child, offering guidance on the reconnection process with this crucial aspect of oneself. It's important to note that this journey is unique to you, and there's no prescribed right or wrong approach. Take your time, extend kindness to yourself, and, above all, find enjoyment in the process. After all, embracing your inner child revolves around recapturing the joy and wonder inherent in the experience of being alive.

Let's start the journey.

SCORING GUIDE

Scoring the Lost Inner Child test is straightforward. You may simply click "Calculate Score" or add up numbers yourself. Each response you’ve given on the scale from 1 (Strongly Disagree) to 5 (Strongly Agree) corresponds to a certain number of points. For example, if you responded with 4 or ‘Agree’ to a statement, you would assign yourself 4 points for that statement. If you responded with ‘Strongly Disagree’, you would assign yourself 1 point for that statement.

To calculate your total score, simply add up the points for all your responses. The maximum possible score is 70 (if you answered ‘Strongly Agree’ to all statements), and the minimum possible score is 14 (if you answered ‘Strongly Disagree’ to all statements).

This score will give you a general idea of the extent to which you may be disconnected from your inner child. A higher score suggests a greater disconnection, while a lower score suggests a lesser disconnection. However, remember that this test is not a diagnostic tool. It’s meant to provide insights and promote self-reflection. If you’re dealing with serious emotional or psychological issues, please seek help from a qualified professional.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS

Your total score can give you an indication of the level of disconnection you might have with your inner child. Here’s a general guide to interpreting your score:

·   1 - 13: Exceptional! This score indicates a strong connection with your inner child. You demonstrate a profound ability to embrace your emotions and needs, fostering a remarkably healthy relationship with yourself.

·      14 - 28: This range suggests a lower level of disconnection from your inner child. You likely have a healthy connection with your inner child and are in tune with your feelings and needs. Continue nurturing this connection.

·      29 - 42: This range suggests a moderate level of disconnection from your inner child. There may be certain areas or situations where you lose touch with your inner child. It could be beneficial to explore these areas further.

·      43 - 56: This range suggests a high level of disconnection from your inner child. You may often find yourself ignoring your feelings or needs. It might be helpful to focus on self-care and self-compassion.

·      57 - 70: This range suggests a very high level of disconnection from your inner child. You may feel out of touch with your feelings and needs most of the time. Consider seeking support from a therapist or counselor to help reconnect with your inner child.

Remember, these interpretations are not definitive or diagnostic. They are meant to provide a starting point for self-reflection and understanding. Everyone’s experience with their inner child is unique, and it’s okay to be wherever you are on this journey. The goal is not to achieve a ‘perfect’ score (there's really no perfect score), but to gain insights that can guide you towards a deeper connection with your inner child. user continue and write next section

·      Creative expression: Engaging in creative activities like drawing, painting, dancing, or playing music can help you connect with your inner child. Try to approach these activities with a sense of playfulness and curiosity.
